Without the ability to examine and obtain a history, I can not tell you what the exact cause of the symptoms is. However I will try to provide you with some useful information.

Carbamazepine is an anti-epileptic. As with all medications,it does have side effects. The most common side effects are nausea and vomiting. Others include dizziness and drowsiness. The FDA recently stated that these medications do have an increased risk of suicidal thoughts/behavior. Other side effects include alteration of your blood counts and liver enzymes, blurred vision with or without double vision and/or visual hallucinations, abdominal pain, constipation, etc. Lastly, rashes have been reported. These are just a few of the side effects of the medication.

If you have side effects to the medication, you should discuss with your physician. It may require a switch in medication. If the medicine is used for seizures, you should not stop the medication cold.
