temporal lobe epilepsy in children and behavioral concerns
Hello and thank you for your response. My son is 4 and has had seizures for about two years now. He presently is on trileptal 2ml's 2x a day and I have noticed some behavioral changes. He has always had some challenging behavior but now is having major anxiety when I leave him at school and an increase in aggressiveness-excessive tantrums (especially at school). Is this common with children with this type of epilepsy? Could this be medication related (has been on it for several months with no dose change)? Just curious what your thoughts were? Also his recent EEG showed slowing in the left temporal lobe-MRI was normal.
