tension in my neck

Im nineteen years old and im bipolar 3 with bad anxiety, but i have tension in my neck so bad that it can make me lightheaded or dizzy. does anyone have any way that i can get rid of this completely without going to the doctor, im just outta school and have been on my own since i was sixteen and i cant afford to go to the chiropractor. any ideas help please!!!

Thank you for your question. Although without being able to examine you I can not offer you the specific advice on diagnosis and treatment that you need, but I would try to provide you some relevant information about your health concern.

In your case, possibility like Cervical spondylosis or pinched nerve in cervical spine in which pain may be referred and perceived as occurring in the back of head, shoulders, arms or chest, rather than just the neck need to be assessed by your doctor first. Other symptoms may include vertigo, nausea (dizziness). In addition, bipolar/anxiety disorder you may feel symptoms like shortness of breath, feeling of choking, pain in the chest, nausea, stomach ache, feeling dizzy, tingling or numbness, chills /hot flashes, bounding heartbeat or fast heart rate, sweating, shaking etc. even without any underlying disorder. This disorder needs to be thoroughly assessed by a psychiatrist first since this can occur repeatedly and without warning. However, it will be best to get yourself evaluated with a doctor to avoid any future complications, if there can be any possibility. Hope this helps.
