thigh pain, ocassional rib pain, headaches

I recently have been experiencing a dull cramping pain in my right upper thigh, sort of toward the inner thigh. This comes and goes but has been more frequent.  I also have an ocassional feeling of pain in my lung area and I've had more frequent headaches.  I haven't been to my doctor yet because I suffer from anxiety and I'm afraid he'll just brush this off as that.  I've never experienced thigh pain while having anxiety attacks.

I have done no unusual physical activities, I sit most of the day for my job and then school at night.  Any information on what this could be would be great. I'm worried about blood clots.

Hi there.  Deep venous thrombosis  mainly affects the large veins in the lower leg and thigh. This clot can block flow and cause swelling and pain when this breaks off and moves through the blood stream it is called an embolism and can stick in brain, lungs, etc leading to severe damage. This may occur in response to immobilization or long resting hours. Consult a physician who apart from clinical examination will do Doppler ultrasound, D Dimer blood test, plethysmogaphy etc, chest xray and ventilation perfusion scans if lung symptoms are there. Treatment, if confirmed will be with anticoagulants . Take care.
