thoracic MRI

The following is the impressions from my recent thoracic MRI. Would you tell me  what these medical terms mean?
1. Abnormal MRI of the thoracic spine demonstrating degenerative changes at multiple disc levels with some marrow edema anteriorly in the mid and lower thoracic spine. No vertebral compression deformity is seen.
2. Small vertebral hemangiomas T3 and T6 vertebral bodies.
3. Protrusion T2-T3 extending slightly above and below the disc space with effacement of the anterior thecal sac.
4.Central and slightly left-sided disc protrusion at T7-T8 abutting the thoracic cord. Left-sided neural compression should be considered.
5. Tiny right-sided disc protrusion at T9-T10 without neural compression.
6. Incidental note of dis bulges at C5-C6 and C6-C7

I have been having numbness/fleshy feeling in both hands and feet/burning pain in mid back radiating down both arms for the last 7 months. I am scheduled to see a neurosurgeon late next month.  Very curious as to what all of this means. Thank you!

Why hasnt your MD explained all of this to you???????  Have you been in a MVA?? Do you have a spinal disease?  How old are you?  Go to a different doctor that shows a little more concern PLEASE!!  This is some major stuff that needs some repair and it needs to be now.  I am only a nurse but I could be a dog walker and know the necessity of treatment.  Please email me and give me an update on your condition.    I am sorry for you mistreatment and also for your obvious  pain.  Sage

Other than my back I am in great health. 61yrs No MVA. I fell 3/06 and fractured my right distal radius bone. All of the numbness started slowly after a tendon transfer on that same hand(fracture wasn't treated correctly and I had a spontaneous rupture of the right thumb tendon)The hand surgeon thought the numbness was being caused from scar tissue.  As the numbness moved to the left hand, they found I had problems with the cervical area, but MRI of that area didn't show that it was all that bad.  Around that time the pain in the middle of my back started.(24/7)  The bad part is as things change nothing goes away. Finally my internist decided to do a Xray of the thoracic area, it showed something and I did the MRI.  All she said was the MRI showed areas that were probably causing my pain and to see a neurosurgeon. I requested the MRI report, but as an interior designer I can not read it:)
Can you understand any of it?  I see the surgeon 6-11.  Thanks
