thoracic outlet compression syndrome

Hi i am a 40 year old female that was dx with toc.I had a bilat rib resection and scalenectomy.My left side is doing great my right side i still get numbness sometimes to the point that when i wake up i cannot move my fingers and hand also gets cold.I am also having severe spasm at the pressure points my neck upper shoulder/back and by my collor bone this is so painfull sometimes that i cannot get to my recliner with my heating pad fast enough.This can be aggravated just sitting in an upright pos. for a short time. dould this be the toc back or another prob..what do you suggest and have you heard of this happening before?

Hello.

This could very well be an inadequately treated TOC on the side. Rib resection does not necessarily reduce the pressure symptoms. You will need to get an MR angiogram done to locate the point of obstruction so that a further plan of action can be decided.
