Hi.

How old are you now? Have you recently had any trauma to your back? Any recent activity involving lifting heavy objects or straining your back?

Your clinical presentation suggests a possible nerve impingement at the thoracic spine level.  It might be secondary to a bulging disc or vertebral malalignment.  Although a tumor at the spine cannot be ruled out, it would be premature to consider this without any diagnostic test being done.

You should consult a neurologist at the earliest possible time to fully assess your symptoms and possibly perform an MRI.

Good luck.

Hi jasmine,
How are you feeling now/
Your pain suggests any nerve compression or irritation.
You told there is some radiation to upper back also, which suggest there might be issue with your spine also.
Talking about tumor is too early.
Getting scans done would help a lot and also a neuro-consultation.

I am a 54 yr old woman, who has sero negative arthritis. A recent bone scan report is below.
Degenerative osteophytic lipping noted at disc margins throughout the thoracic spine.
Also a small calcification is projected in relationship to T12/L1 disc on both AP and lateral views. There may be minor narrowing of the L1/2 disc space with some associated degenerative change.  The remaining lumbar disc spaces appear normal in height.
I am in terrible pain daily taking anti-inflamatory meds. and pain killers. I feel so tired and weak, I have no strength in my arms and everything is such a challenge.
Is there anything that can be done for this back problem.?
