time frame for craniotomy/cranioplasty

in May of I had a bad accident resulting in a craniotomy, where my bone flap was removed.
In October of 08 I had a complicated surgery trying to get a cranioplasty and it was unsuccessful.
I was supposed to have the "hopefully successfull" replacement surgery AKA Cranioplasty in Febuary of 2009 and just found out that I am pregnant.....
HOW LONG AM I ABLE TO LIVE WITH OUT MY BONE FLAP/ MISSIUNG PIECE OF MY SKULL / WITHOUT MY BODY BECOMING USED TO NOT HAVING THE PIECE AND REJECTING ANY FURTHER SURGERIES?????
