It sounds nerve related. I had same symptoms with tingling, skin crawling feeling. I've been blasting it with mega doses of vitamin B in it's forms. Nerve Renew brand supplement is my go to. My arms are feeling much better.

Hi, does anyone has ever thought about parasites????? There is a case in Norway of a man that found out all this were parasites! He took Niclosamide, Albedazole and Praziquantel, and it stopped. Now, I´m following a friend that has the same symptoms and she is desperate, really. She is trying these medicine now, and we are just expecting it to go too!

I have been living with the crawling sensations for almost 2 years. I have been from doctor to doctor and twice I have been told that all this is just in my imagination. My dermatologist finally asked me if I have been seen this "bugs" and I bought myself a microscope to find the little creatures. I only found some type of fungus that behaves different depending of the moist conditions. The first thing I notice was a white greasy-gel-like substance that if is left alone for a while it will grow some clear strings. Sometimes they are red or blue. I suspect that they change color when they mature or something. It seems to be like little clear strings that moves toward the humidity or heat of my body and attaches to the skin. It looks like the long arm of salt water on the movie “The Abyss”. This white substance just floats in the air and deposits itself everywhere! I am cleaning constantly, but at my job I can not bring chemicals to disinfect other that some type of wipes. I hear everybody around me coughing constantly and I can see the eye irritations on my coworkers.
I have been using Pinesol in the clothes and rubbing myself with coconut oil, washing my hair with Neem shampoo, drinking some teas that have “antifungal” properties and that have helped me. My headaches still horrible, but at least I do not have the night sweats and the tiredness all the time.  I am having severe and recurrent nosebleeds and breathing problems due that the air is so full of this white cloud. My joints have been acting up too, but also are being helped by the coconut oil.  I hope this helps somebody.

Hi. I was so interested reading of your celiac/gluten intolerance symptoms. I'm having tingly, prickly sensations from my left ear, cheek, neck, shoulder, down my left side to my toes.
I am gluten intolerant, but not sure if this is the cause.
I'm also controlling hypothyroidism and have tmj.  So I'm a bit confused at what's going on. Have you any light to shine on this problem?

The symptoms you all are describing are neurological symptoms that can be related to celiac/gluten intolerance. I lead a celiac/gluten intolerance support group. Most neurological symptoms are related to malabsorption of vitamins and minerals. Sometimes testing can show normal levels, but that doesn't mean the vitamins and minerals are getting absorbed properly. Here's an article on some of the neurological symptoms, including the creepy crawlies. http://thefooddoc.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html

I used to experience RLS and still do if I accidentally ingest gluten. So many issues mentioned here are ones I used to suffer with (like anxiety, thyroid issues, feet burning, finger and hand numbness plus much, much more) before I went gluten free.

As a support group leader, I've witnessed some incredible recoveries after folks have been diagnosed with gluten issues and gone gluten free. I've seen kids diagnosed with epilepsy who only have seizures if they ingest gluten. I've seen folks who suffered with migraines go to NO headaches at all (I am in that group). Most recently we've had a member who had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and needed her heavy duty meds as soon as the prescribed time period for dosage was up. Finally, she realized she wasn't needing her meds and is now off all meds with no symptoms.

Do some research on celiac/gluten intolerance online (just know that no two sites will show the same symptoms and no two individuals will have exactly the same symptoms either) and insist on a test for celiac AND if the celiac test is negative, get tested for gluten sensitivity (www.enterolab.com), the lowest level of gluten issues. There are false negatives with the celiac blood testing. Usually, if a patient tests positive on the celiac blood tests, then an endoscopsy/biopsy is performed of the small intestine. One study showed that of people who tested positive via the biopsy, only 77% tested positive on the blood test. So, if a doctor stops with a negative blood test, and many do, you could be misdiagnosed. That's part of the reason 97% of celiacs remain undiagnosed. Most doctors are very uninformed about celiac.

In addition, some people suffer for many, many years without having full-blown celiac. Still, they may be gluten sensitive or gluten intolerant and can see dramatic improvements in their health and often full recovery by going gluten free.

I'd be happy to discuss this more or answer questions. I am not a medical professional but I can share my experiences and what I've learned since going gluten free 5 1/2 years ago.

I have this same thing- from the tip of my toe on my left side to the top of my scalp on my left side. I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, B12 deficiency, chronic panic disorder and am being medicated for ALL of these things and my levels are normal and I STILL have these things going on. I was also recently tested positive for the Lupus Anticoagulant AB (clotting disorder) so I have an appt with a neurologist on Nov 10 since I have all the tingling and numbness and such.

I have also had many of these symptoms such as the tingling in back of arms and it can definatly be a scary thing. Has anyone else been getting sudden flashes of light in their field of vision..had eisodes similar before and doctors ruled out any kind of heart attack(sever family history) curious to know exactly what could be happening....possible anxiety disorder?

HI, I have Hypothyroidism and have suffered with the Creepy Crawly's for years and also went to many Dr.s, had Allery testing, read about dust mites, hormonal imbalances etc,. I was low on B-12 and other vitamins deficiencies, I had a Spectrum Series vitamin testing. It measures what  nutrients your body is actually absorbing and what vitamins you are deficient in, Boy was I surprised!!...take only  good quality, chelated vitamins. I did the sugar free yeast free Candida diet, too Until you get rid of all the toxins, you will be "crawling". Take a Pro-Biotic to build your good bacteria, maybe a benadryl at night, or possibly a Rx. sleep medication.  I have Neuralgia, nerve-pain and  Lyrica definately helps me survive the "Creepy Crawyly Sensation". You might want to have a Complete Thyroid Panel done and research Hypothyroidism?? Good Luck, DW

Yes i am having a crawling sensation that is driving me crazy, i almost felt like it was a mental disorder and maybe i should see a psychiatrist, it's such a relief to know im not alone. Just about three month ago i went to the hospital to get a cyst drained, they gave me batrum and i broke out in hives, i had to go back where the took some sort of blood test and figured out i had a veryl low count of white blood cells. they gave me a shot then the md prescribed folic acid which i never got filled. Now that im feeling this weird creepy crawling sensation ive done some research and found out that i could just be lacking the B-12. But wasn't 100% sure because before i went to the hospital i was fine so im thinking it has something to do with the allergic reaction i had or could be dust mytes, maybe because they gave me the shot, now its waring off!! IDK..........

i used to have these sensation for about a year and half and my two conclusions is have your stool checked for a parasite blastocystis hominus, it is a parasitic infection,  second is make sure there is no mold in your house because those also cause those symtoms, and third get allergy tested because you may be allergic to dust, and forth well it may be dust mites in your house that you can not see

i have been researching this for about two years now, and i have found some solutions one is uv filtration of water and air as well as cleaning products for bedding and carpeting as well and washer and dryers killing all bacteria and viruses and parasties

I have this exact symptom from time to time; more often then not. I have Relapsing Remitting MS, MRI showed small lesions to confirm but my spinal tap was normal. Best of Luck ~pickle~

I have this, been going on for 6 years.  I have it on my legs, face, back, and sometimes the arms.  Had brain MRI, c-spine MRI, and lumbar MRI. Everything normal except for bulging disk at C-3.  Blood work included, ESR, Thyroid, SPEP/IPEP, ANA, EBV, cholesterol, and Lyme.  Everything normal.  I am seeing a neuro now, she started me on Metanx (B-12, B-6, folic acid suuplements), the feelings have lessend some.  When I go back she wants to do a lumbar puncture to see about MS.  She also sent to get my MRI results so that she can review them herself.  If everything turns out normal, then I am going to a LLMD to get checked for Lyme disease. I hope everything works out good for you.  Take care!!!

I have these sensations (parasthesias).  Started in Aug. - big toe burning, prickling, then moved to both feet and up the calf.  Both fingers then whole hand and up the arms to mid-arm - all tingling and burning.  I'm 31 yo and female, seeing a neuro.  One lesion in corpus callosum on MRI, but it was there 4 years ago too on MRI.  BUT, I have scoliosis w/ neck and back pain.  To answer your question, yes I have these symptoms, so you are not alone.  I cannot tell you, however, what is wrong with me/us.....have an appt. on Tuesday:)

Best of luck and keep posting, I will:)
