: I have many of the symptoms of MS, but am undiagnosed (out of choice ).
"Jiggling" eyeballs, a right leg I can't lift (especially in hot weather), memory problems, a right arm that won't go where I tell it to go, hands that throw things across the room on their own, EXTREME FATIGUE, walking like a drunk, and fingers that tingle almost constantly.  We know I do not have a brain tumor.   My doctor and I are treating the symptoms-- Amantadine and Cylert for fatigue, rest, scheduled naps, etc.-- but have been unable to stop the finger tingling.  It is driving me NUTS.  We have tried Elavil, which only made me like a zombie with tingling fingers.  The best thing I have been able to do is tape my fingertips to cut down on the intensity of the tingling.  It is like rubbing my fingertips quickly across sandpaper!  It is on both hands, all fingers, and my left middle three toes from time to time.
Any suggestions I can take to my doctor?

I'm curious as to why you are undx regarding the possible MS. Is it that you do not want
to know, or do not want to go through the necessary work-up. As you know there are now a
number of treatments available for MS and you should think again about having a work-up.
In terms of the tingling in your fingers, that can be due to may things. Maybe you have
carpal Tunnel syndrome?, or a peripheral neuropathy. An EMG could be very informative in this regard.
You might also consider imaging the cervical spine with MRI looking for evidence of transverse
myelitis. The bottom line is, if you want to know you will need a work-up. This will also
include labs to look at such things as your B12 level. If the Elavil
made you too symptomatic you could talk to your doctor about Neurontin?
Good luck, and if you are not seeing a neurologist, you should.
