tingling or whatever this is on head

by healthfreak648, Jul 08, 2009 03:32PM
I have been having this weird sensation on the back side of my head, sometimes on my sides too, never on the top. I would not call it tingling, cause i don't feel pins and needles or numbness or anything similar to what you feel when you lay on your arm for example. It is more like a little tickling sensation. I don't really know how to characterize it.
It does not happen all the time, only sometimes and it is triggered by touching my head. Like for example, if somebody, or me stroked the back of my head i would get that sensation, or if I lay on bed (on my back, so that the head touches pillow) and I stand up I get this sensation.
Anyone know what this could be? I have had this for at least 2 months, sometimes there are longer pauses.
I keep obsessing about what this is and i am worried.
Thanks.

This may be due to compression of nerve and the related area where you are feeling this sensation. Take adequate rest and have proper sleep.
Try doing some neck exercises and take some vitamin B12 and if this feeling increases or worsens you have to visit a neurologist for examination and investigation.
Take care!
