transitory memory and coherence disturbance

I'm female, Caucasian, 55, with medium hypertension. Recently I sat in the kitchen staring at a recipe but being unable to implement it. I could read and understand it, but what would normally have enabled me to prepare the dish was missing. I made several attempts to get things going, with the only result of dropping a glass container.
I tried to figure out what was wrong with me. Then in front of my mind's eyes the letters "Hep C" appeared written in a big, strong red-colored font. (I do have Hepatitis C, with only minor liver damage). I thought: "Hepatitis is a bad disease, but why does it come to my mind? I don't think I have it".

I called a medical helpline. I tried to explain my predicament to the doctor, but I couldn't find the specific words.

I remembered the name of my herbal anti-inflammatory medicine (Assalix) only with great difficulty. I told the doctor: It is made of something used in another medication that is very commonly used. I couldn't remember the expressions Salicylic Acid or Aspirin. My memories were visual rather.
The episode lasted maybe 1 to 2 hours. I remember it, so it can't really have been amnesia. After the symptoms waned I felt dizzy, unfocused and badly shaken for a few more hours.
