SPINA BIFIDA WITH OPERATED TETHERED CORD SYNDROME WITH RESIDUAL NEUROLOGICAL DEFICIT IN LEFT LOWER LIMB CAUSING HYPOAESTHESIA AND EQUINOVARUS DEFORMITY WHICH IS PARTIALLY CORRECTABLE TO NEUTRAL POSITION. NO URINARY BLADDER PROBLEM.

TREATMENT AVAILABLE FOR RECTIFYING THE FOOT AND STRENGTHING FOR WALKING WITH OUT LIMPING.

Hi there.

Conditions like this are really very hard to address since treatment may not really be full proof.  For example, the operation have not totally eradicated the neurologic deficits and resulted in persistence of some deficits.  I suggest you discuss this at depth with the neurosurgeon and know the risks and benefits of additional surgeries that needs to be done to correct the spina bifida.  I hope future procedures will be as uneventful as possible and that the problem can be completely corrected or reversed. I also suggest ensuring psychological support for the patient since she's probably undergoing a lot of stress at the present.
