tremors and shaking

I have been diagnosed with p n and degenerative disc disease. and about 25 years ago one dr. said i have essential tremors which no dr. would listen to since because up until 5 years ago i was a alcholic oh yea i am 56 years old. my question is i still have the bad hand tremors but for about 11/2 years now i have severe shaking in my left leg but only when standing still. my nerologist has basicly ignored these problems. maybe you all have some idea what the problem could be and what should i do? oh and some times when my leg gets shaking really bad, that is when i can't sit down right away, the shaking seems to move into the upper part of my body with arms and hands really bad.
