trigeminal neuralgia type 2?

trigeminal neuralgia type 2?

I had a maxillary left first molar removed by an oral surgeon on 4-3-09.  I have had building head and facial pain ever since.  I have some facial and even jaw swelling, the sensation of burning drainage, sore tongue.  I even landed in the hospital for two days to break my pain cycle and have iv antibiotics about a month ago. They thought I had a sinus communication but I did not. I did feel better after that but still have ongoing pain.  I am taking neurtontin which is making me functional but not pain free.  I seem to get worse as the day wears on.  I am able to sleep at night.  I saw a neurologist on June 9th who thinks I have trigeminal neurolgia and sent me for a contrasting MRI of my brain.  The test itself set off a huge painful afternoon and evening for me.  I have checked into trigeminal neurolgia and feel I may fit into type 2.  I am getting desperate to feel better.  This thing never goes away just ebbs and flows.  I am a otherwise very healthy woman, non smoker who had excerised faithfully prior and watches her diet closley.  Thank God my husband is a saint or I don't know what I would do.  Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
