thankyou for your help i have seen a physician and i have had a cortisone injected to the carbitial tunnel around 18 months ago i had nerve conduction studies revealed sensory nerve action at the lower end of normal and slowing of the motor conduction also i have had mri scans on my wrist and elbow and neck revealed that the nerve is thickened and hypo echoic  which showed the disk bulges the doctor said it was from degeneration i am 30 years old my research tells me that a blow to the nerve can cause it to shorten it feels like my sholder has dropped and is pulling away from my back and neck i have been refered to a surgen for ulnar nerve release at the elbow
i also have not had proper access to a neurolosist to do a full assesment i am on work cover and im am being treated totally different to a normal patient i believe. i have asked to see a neurologist but they wont refer me to one why i ask ?

ps. sorry if its a bit hard to read

Hi,
You should be consulting an Orthopaedician. The injury was local and it has nothing to do with any associated neuro problems. Please consult an opthalmologist for the eye related problem,it could be co-incidental,these are not related problems. The disc slip ofcourse should be a neuro problem for which a second opinion should be obtained from an rortho specialist.
Goodluck.

Have you consulted a physician regarding the hand trauma you experienced? How did you come to the conclusion that your ulnar nerve is enlarged? How long have these symptoms been present?

Based on your presentation, it seems that you have a suspected ulnar nerve compression, cervical disk herniation, and probably an eye infection.

I would advise you to consult a physician, probably a neurologist, immediately to properly assess your condition.
