un-aspirin and continuos head pain

a few days ago a short sharp pain hit me on the right side of my temple.  to this day, its very tender to touch, though i did not hit it on anything.  the pain comes and goes throughout the day and its uncomfortable to sleep on that side of my head.  i remember taking an un-aspirin pill at work about an hour before the occurence.  i have never taken that before, just things like tylenol and motrin.  i felt something similar to this about fifteen years ago when i had an absessed tooth, but there is no tooth pain nor gum problems.  it tingles mostly when its not in pain.
                    Very curious and worried,
