unknown whats wrong with me need help..

i have been suffering with right sided weakness and tingling from my face down to my toes some times i get this sharp pain down my right side and wont be able to move at all. that whole side just hurts and i am unable to lift my arm or leg let alone walk its stroke symptoms but no stroke has  happened it started on march 4 2009 i was hospitalized they thought it was a stroke i was told that the top of my brain looks good iwas also told they cant see the bottom of the brain and the doctors dont think there is any thing there either. but they are not sure. i had a c spine mri it was clean also. the doctors are saying its in my head or its just stress. i just got over an ear infection in my right ear only and it took four different med to get it cleared i havent had one of those since i was younger. my doctor thinks something is wrong. i have had two different i have had them do an echo cardiogram on me and the one now shows that my left atrium is enlarged i am not sure all this plays a role in finding whats wrong with me or if any one has ideas about what could be bothering me. my doctor needs help in finding the problem he feels something is wrong and wants to get to the bottom of it so if any one can please help us i need help.there are other cases like mine and they have no answers either..

hi i have done a emg/ncs and it came back clean thank you for the suggestion i will tell my doctor about that .

I'm going through something very similar! right sided nerve pain. Getting worse!!  The neuro sent me for extensive blood work to rule out any autoimmune diseases or viruses. Then, to a rheumatologist for a more extensive blood work up. I have no answers for you but a rheumatoligist might be able to help. Also an EMG/NCS to see if there is a problem with the nerves or muscles on that side.
