hi everyone,
i was diagnosed with an arachnoid cyst/tumor and a pineal cyst/tumor on my brain stem. My question is is a tumor different than a cyst because sometimes my nuero refers to it as a tumor and other times he says cyst so whats the difference?

Well, tumors and cysts are abnormal growths that have the potential to interfere with normal function of the body,
but cysts are benign but tumors are usually associated with cancerous meanings and are synonymous but any type of swelling even a bruise is considered a tumor.
I hope I've helped.
