I started having strange vision problem couple of weeks ago and have noticed droopy eyelidEyelid bump Eyelid lift Eyelid twitch on my left eye. I have seen my ophthomologist who has is trying to rule out serious problems. On my left eye, I see blurry when I look at objects both in the distance and in near sight. It comes and goes during the day. I also feel that there is more light coming into my left eye than my right (its a strange feeling). Sometimes after a few blinks it is corrected, then it returns. My eyes are sometimes dry and itchy. The droopy eyelidEyelid bump Eyelid lift Eyelid twitch is noticable. During the day it can get worse. I occasionally feel a slight pain around and behind my left eye.
I've started reading on droopy eyelids on the internet and most articles point to some serious muscle disorders or neurological problems. I wonder if anyone has experience with these symptoms.
Could my vision/eye problems be related to my TMJ?
How are you?
TMJ is an acute or chronic inflammation of the TMJ. The main symptoms of TMJ are inability to chew, swallow, headaches, ringing in the ears, fatigue and difficulty in speaking.
It is very unlikely that the ptosis of your left eye is due to TMJ.
The main causes of ptosis are trauma, tumors, myasthenia, and muscular dystrophies.
Hope this helps!
