welbutrin drug of choice?

by sharon__0__0, Aug 09, 1998 12:00AM

I recently saw my general practitioner, he took me off St. John's Wart secondary to progressive symptoms of my MG (i.e. increased weakness with needed increase in mestinon of recent). Knowing I'm a computer nerd, he told me to research the internet to see if I could find any contraindications with MG and use of welbutrin.  I have yet to find any info. on the combination. In the meantime, I've started taking the medication. I'm scheduled to see my neurologist, but couldn't get in till the end of the month. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your question.  Unless I am misreading your posting, you did
not mention why you were taking St. John's Wart, and why your physician
felt you needed to take Welbutrin.  Please post additional information
if we can be of assistance.
Thanks.
