Diseases affecting the brain's white matter are mostly demyelinating diseases such multiple sclerosis, progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy and HIV encephalitis. And depending on the location of disease, it can cause various symptoms. So, white matter brain diseases can have a variety of different symptoms that can impair visual, motor, sensory and cognitive functions.
