white spots on brain

I had been diagnosed in 1989 with ms even though I had no white spots on my brain.  However several MRI's since have shown massive white spots over 100.  Recently I have seen a new nurologist and a diabetic specialist who agree I have  hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia resulting in hypoglycemic strokes.  Have you ever heard of that.  They said it is very dangerous and the white spots were areas where my brain had died.  They also said it was very rare, I'm not so sure with as many people that seem to have mysterious white spots.  Any information would be appericated.
