my wife has a deteriorating disc disorder. all the disc in her back are going bad. she has had five or six surgeries in the last four to five years. the levels that are failing now are t7-t8. the surgery to fix these levels is very dangers. she has a Intrathecal morphine pump. that we have just about turned as much as we can. now to the question-- is there any thing she can take or do to control the deterioration of the disc in her back? a life time of rodes and screws and surgeries is not much of a life. another question--- is there some thing with steam cell research that could possibly help her?

yes she has had three neck surgeries in addition to the back surgeries. so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. my wife was 45 when we found out about her back. thank goodness the kids are grown and gone. don't know what we would have done with little kids. hope your husband is able to be home for you and the kids.

HELLO, i AM VERY SORRY TO HEAR OF ALL THE PROBLEMS YOUR WIFE IS HAVING & I'M ALSO SORRY THAT I DON'T KNOW ANY ANSWERS 4 U. I HAVE A DEGENERATIVE DISC DISEASE MYSELF, JUST FOUND OUT LAST WEEK. I HAD A LUMBAR DISECTOMY OF 2 DICS ON THE 19TH OF LAST MO. .NOW NEED ARTIFICIAL DISK REPLCEMENT SURGERY C-6 IN MY NECK ASAP THIS WEEK. HAS YOUR WIFE EVER HAD A CERVICAL SURGERY?     MY PRAYERS ARE W/ U BOTH!
