Can trigeminal neuralgia expand to include other cranial nerve pathologies?

Can one patient have trigeminal neuralgia and then many years later develop hemifacial spasms? I have had trigeminal neuralgia for 10 years and it has progressively worsened.  In the past 18 mos. I have had a glycerol rhyzotomy  and 4 anesthetic/steroid fluorescence guided blocks to the nerve rootlets.  I have since developed hemifacial spasms which occur 0-20 times a day and are finally being controlled at least in severity by clonezapam.  Can have just had a CT-A and will know the results on Tuesday and whether my new neurosurgeon thinks I am a candidate for MVD. Can MVD be use to treat both trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasms.  It feels as though they are linked.   I cant experience them separately.
