Grade II Astrocytoma

Grade II Astrocytoma

Hi,

I was lately diagnosed with a Low Grade Astrocytoma (initially defined as Low grade glioma) following a partial seizure on the left temporal, the mass is 6x5x3 big and I am 35 years old. I did MRI, fMRI and PET Scan.
Analyses showed that the Speech Production area is surounded by the tumor, while the Speech Understanding area is not touched yet. The conductive area between Production and Understanding was not very clear but believed to be out of the tumor. I have the following questions:

1. What is the best treatment for this kind of tumors?
2. Is surgery for partial resection feasible and safe? and if it is, what are the risks and benefits?
3. What are the consequense of the treatment on my body, mind and sharpness?
4. What is the life expectency for this kind of tumors?
5. What is the quality of life during and after the treatment?
6. How independant will I be in handling my own tasks?

Thank you in advance

Sam, it depend on surgeon's skills.
about the pathology please wait for the biopsy results, and dont count only on one tool; radiology. wait for a definitive histopasthology taken from a surgery
