Is it epilepsy?

Symptoms:
I just lose consciousness .Most of the times my head feels cloudy or / and my tongue feels numb before I pass out. Usually I regain consciousness when I hit the ground. This attack often happens if I am sick, have a fever or I am lack of sleep. Occasionally eliciting pain helped to prevent drop attacks but my heart palpitated for a few minutes afterwards. Only a few times when I tried to get up, I passed out again. Occasionally my pupils will dilate for a while after the drop attacks. Sometimes I experience double vision which can last for a few minutes to half an hour ( My eyesight will be fine if I cover either of my eyes. I just can’t see with both of my eyes ). Only one of my EEG was abnormal, but I was conscious at that time and I felt that my head was much larger than what it should be.

Tests done : an ECG, a holter monitor, echocardiogram, MRI of the brain,  video-EEG and tilt-table test
Test results : My echocardiogram shows that I have a mitral valve prolapse without regurgitation. My cardiologist has ruled out arrhythmias. There was a mild epileptic disturbance in only one of my EEG. Other test results are negative.
Medication : lamictal 100 mg (twice daily), carbamazepine 100 mg (twice daily) ventolin 100mcg ( if necessary )

What is the cause of my drop attacks?

Yes it is epilepsy attacks, but it is important to know if the cause could be preventable or not, please notify me about the number of the attacks, and take in concideration that because you do this type of epilepsy during high fever YOU HAVE A LOW THRESHOLD, so you should continue your treatment, you may try to modify the used meds
