Lesion on C2 Vertebrae

Lesion on C2 Vertebrae

my husband has had severe pain for at least 3 weeks. His condition is getting progressively worse. severe pain of the head (so sensitive you can't touch it), pressure in left ear, sleeping/checked out 90% of time, pain down neck and spine, losing ability to walk without assistance.  He had an MRI that shows a large lesion on the C2 vertebra.  This was done out of state where he was working. Due to his worsening condition, he traveled home with MRI CD and got an appt with a Neurosurgon in New Orleans.  The surgeon stated he could not see anything associated with the brain and ordered a MRI of the brain (the MRI we gave him was of the neck and spine). This won't be done for several days. We are worried that he is deteriationg so fast they are wasting precious time.  He appeared to be looking for something in the brain and not the spine.  How serious is the condition (lesion on C2)? How fast should treatment occur? How do you suggest we get the Dr. to listen?

I am sorry first of all for my late answer, because i am the sole surgeon of this forum and I had my annual vacation. I hope the situation is better now, and I would like to know what he did finally. I could be also sorry fsr the system and the inadequate individualiation of each patient's case in an emergency setting.
A C2 lesion in the cervical spine could cause for sure all these symptoms with or without closure of the fluid circulation.
the lesion might be removed urgently
