Hello,
I'm a 25 yeard old man and am absolutely petrified that I may have MS or some other life threatening condition. About 3 months ago I went to the Dr with a swollen foot and was told that I had suspected gout and had been sent to a specialist because 1 month later it was still swollen. The Dr believed that I had gout and reactive arthritis and also low Vitamin D levels. So he prescribed me anti-inflammatories (Arcoxia), Vitamin D and Calcium supplements, steriods (Prednisolone) and I'm on Allopurinol.
However just before I started to take all these medicines I started getting pain in more than one joint. I now have pain in my knees, right shoulder, right wrist and finger knuckles too). I have also had back pain for a number of years now. I have also started to develop more alarming symptoms. I have lost significant muscle mass from my thighs and calfs, my left arm frequently goes numb to the extent where it's as if it has fallen asleep. I'm urinating more frequently and I have fatigue with shortness of breath sometimes. Also, today I have a new symptom, my left arm feels cold/wet but it isn't. I have made an appointment with my Dr but I can't see him until 2 weeks from now so I am very scared in the meantime. When I typed my symptoms into google they appear to be in line with MS. Based on this evidence is that likely?
thanks for your time
Al
sorry for the delay, but your symptoms are not symptoms of MS. so keep on treating your gout as diagnosed before, with the adequate diet and medications. try to stop the antiinflammatory medications for a testing period
