Without going into to much detail I have these bad flares of pain. I do have herniated discs in my thoracic 3 and in my lumbar spine as well. The pain from that narcotics help but when I get pain flares it feels like I have been injected with pain in the base of my spine and the tip of my toes and they meet. It feels like pain has been injected into my blood stream because every thing hurts from the tip of my head to the tip of my toes. There is also burning in my left and right arm. I feel that part of the pain is from the discs but the part from the flares is from something else. I have been dealing with it for years and it now seems to be coming to a head. I had a dr to tell me that the only way a dr will find out what is wrong with me is to be looking for something else and stumble up on it.
The Kicker to this is I have a paternal first cousin and she has the exact same issue and my son has started with the beginning of the same issue. He is 30 and I am 48. Steroids offer more relief than anything else. But, first off I will end up weighing 500 pounds and second off I know about the bad side effects. I am at the end of my rope and feel like death may be my last option. Any suggestions? I think that it is between a genetic and hematology issue but u may say that it is spine related. Suggestions?
