arm pain and loss of muscle tone

Just trying to find out what may be the cause of weakness in left arm and pain when I move it a certain way.  Pain
only shows up when I move certain way-it is a sharp pain and it used to be also under my armpit.  I am not able to
swing a golf club anymore, that's when it hurts most.  Cannot lift much weight anymore with left arm also.

Please do a left shoulder MRI and consult your orthopedic surgeon. Problems of ligaments could be many, I do not suspect any neural issue in your case

I am a Neurosurgeon from Chicago Illinois.  May I ask how far down your arm does the pain go?  Does your arm pain change if you move your neck?
