unusual pain on rt side of head

by Hanna734, Oct 28, 2009 05:23PM
About two hours ago I started with an intermittent pain in the right side of my head,  Between my ear and temple.  THe best way I can describe it is it felt as though two or three veins/arteries? were trying to pump blood and might have encountered some difficulty?   I have never had this pain before.   I have had migraines.   I am 65 y.o.a. and really don't complain.   I have never had major surgery.   I take Altace for high blood pressure.   Five weeks ago I wquit smoking.   I feel well otherwise, but the pain tonight seems strange.   I took my own blood pressure and it was 134/88 and my pulse was 96.   High pulse for me, but BP was within good limits.

Any ideas.   I just took two tylenol.   No vision impairment is noted, no dizziness...just that weird pain/ache in that specific area of my head about as big as a small index card.
Thank You...Hanna 705
