Obama Fake Sandy Hook Photo-Op

Obama Fake Sandy Hook Photo-Op

Posted on 04/01/2013 by Frank61 Comments

"A new image has been released by The White House showing Barack Obama in a state of despair after receiving the news of the Sandy Hook tragedy in Newtown . What a guy, eh ? What a load of crap !
So we are meant to believe a passing White House photographer just happened to be in the Oval Office at the same time Obama was told the news of Sandy Hook and rather than telling the photographer to ‘fxxk off’, he allowed him / her to carry on . And they expect the world to believe this ? Aaaaaaaargh ! And of course, it’s a coincidence Obama is in a triumvirate with George Washington and Abraham Lincoln . "

Exploitation? That’s how I see it. What’s Ya’lls opinion on it?

"Since none of us was present, it is impossible for any of us to say what really happened."  Never a truer statement, so wouldn't it be equally presumptuous to assume that this weren't true?

You think I'm uncool.  I get that.  You think I'm odd.  I get that too.  You would never do what I do.  Fine.

Insulting quotes about self pity? That individual started a thread to point out that he had gone over to CE to start trouble.  Then he was chagrined that his post was deleted.  Sounded like self pity to me.  For some reason, you think its okay for Vance to stir up trouble in the other group but you protest when people comment negatively on his offerings.  THAT is uncool, in my opinion.

I've been reading here since mid-December, when I found CE.  I followed a post on CE back to the poster's profile and found this group. So I've been reading here for nearly a month.  And I have read a lot of the stuff in CE that had been posted in the preceding weeks and months.  I'm a fast reader and I have had 4 weeks to read.  If that's not enough time for you to catch up, well that's you.  For me it is plenty.

You don't like me,  You think I'm uncool.  Okay, I'll learn to live with your disapproval.  It really doesn't matter.

"Hi, and thank you. I was googling some stuff about Sandy Hook and this group came up, so I have been reading for a few days before I got a membership.  This looks like an interesting place."

http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Current-Events---/State-representative-tells-Giffords--Stay-out-of-my-towns/show/1875198

That was on the 7th.  A few days ago.  Now, you've been reading for quite some time?

My point was, regardless of what was going on between CE members, getting involved was inappropriate for someone claiming to be brand new.  Even the people here who you say made negative remarks or whatever about CE, none were directed to YOU personally, yet you had no problem name calling and jumping into the fray, getting personal with them.

That's just uncool, IMO.  No one here has gotten personal with you, YOU took it there.

I would never join a new forum and just start slinging insults or joining in on chiding that is about something between people I didn't even know.  It's just so odd, I'm sorry.

You even came over here to post insulting quotes about self pity, and other things,  totally fueling the fire...just really uncalled for.  Why be so antagonistic to people you've posted around for a week?  And, you claim to have been lurking for a while, how would anyone know that, when you stated you JUST found CE?

With that, I'm done...I've made my point.

I don't think less than a month qualifies as "quite some time:"....but that's just my opinion.

I completely and totally believe the President was devestated by what happened.  I do believe he is a kind and nice man.  Still, he is a politician, and perhaps took advantage of what happened to shine a positive light on himself.  I believe the reaction was real, just perhaps recreated as you say.  And I think that was kind of the point of this thread?  I misunderstood what the intent was initially, but after rereading, I think that was exactly the point R was trying to make.

And SM, you are very fair and balanced.  And I feel Barb at CE is too. I just think the whole situation was becoming antagonistic, and that was unfortunate.  I keep hoping it will all settle down and things will go back to the way they were.  Good people on both sides of politics and it's sad when issues divide.  It'll settle down, I'm sure of it!

Since my intelligence has been put into question, I feel I’m entitled to at least one response.
Does anyone else see the Irony in making a statement that claims someone is not intelligent, “then following it up with “That comment ridiculous.”?

SM, I'll leave it alone now.

I have been reading this forum and Current Events for quite some time now, although I just took out a membership recently.  So I have had plenty of time to form opinions about what I have read.

Thanks Adgal for adding to the discussion.  Who knows what really happened---  one hates to think of the 'photo op' side of what a politician does --  any politician.  I'm sure things like recreating our initial reaction has happened before and will happen again.  Obama's reaction during his the first speech about Sandy Hook was very genuine and real.  I'm sure he was as sad as the rest of us that this event took place.

You certainly have no problem putting forward you own very frank and unflattering opinions of Mr. Obama.

Mr. Obama doesn't post here.

In an effort to get along, perhaps we could not take things to a personal level.  That is all I am suggesting.   .

I agree.

You know, newtown, you're brand new here (on MH, CE, here), yet you've hopped right on a few people's bandwagon, having fun taking swipes at people you don't even know.  The digs and insults haven't slipped by us.

Hey, whatever, you're entitled to your opinion, but maybe you should hang around a bit longer to FORM one?  You came at a time when there were some issues with some on the CE forum, issues big enough that people who have posted with the others for YEARS felt it necessary to take a step back.  There are a lot of dynamics there, that as a new person, you wouldn't be privvy to.

I don't think it's cool to fuel the fire and get in the midst of something you know nothing about.  You seem to be making opinions about some of us based on unfair principles.  Again, your pergogative, but don't think it didn't go unnoticed.

You've been very antagonistic and even hostile...just very odd and franky, not very open-minded, IMO.

I'm actually a fan of President Obama and always have been.  However, I still see him as a politician who will do what he needs to do, and photo ops are part of that.  Of course no one knows for 100% certain if this was staged, but I do think R's argument was a good one - it's rather unlikely that there was a photographer there the moment the President found out about the tragedy. I don't always agree with everyone here, but unintelligent is not a word I would apply to any of them.

How funny, I have seen several threads here making pointed personal insults about those who hold opposing political views.  Several threads have been started just to gleefully insult and demean members of the current events group, and I have seen plenty of negative comments about what "they" are posting.  In fact, some of your members "couldn't resist" making negative personal comments and yet none of this has ever been admonished by anyone in this group.

We can certainly rise above personal comments, but it would be better if everyone were held to that standard.  That's all I am suggesting.

This thread was discussing an issue and it's not necessary to make it about the people that post.  I personally said that I would hate to think of our president doing such a thing but that is besides the point.

In an effort to get along, perhaps we could not take things to a personal level.  That is all I am suggesting.

That's right, I think that all your assurances that you have the inside track on what goes on in you absence gives rise to questions about your abilities to distinguish between your own prejudices and facts.  Since none of us is in possession of the facts about that particular moment, it is not for any of us to claim to know the what happened,  While it may appear to have been staged, and perhaps it was, the comments I have read hear are from people who claim to know for sure about the inner workings of the President's mind.  OBVIOUSLY, you can't.

Why is it so offensive to you to be told that you are making yourselves look ridiculous?  You certainly have no problem putting forward you own very frank and unflattering opinions of Mr. Obama.  When R Glass states, "I think he is a fake and a fraud" I don't object to that because he has the right to his opinion.  When he says "that is exactly what happened" he sounds to me like a person of limited intelligence.  You do not admonish him for the swipe.  So if his opinion is acceptable here, why not mine?

Actually, it is a snipe. And you are well aware of that. Any intelligent person can see that.

Come on now.

OBVIOUSLY, since WE are all commenting about it, it can be assumed that you're calling US unintelligent.  It WAS unnecessary.

Actually, I believe it is necessary and fair.  Can you tell me how anybody can presume to know what happened in the white house when the commenter was not present.  And since nobody can presume to know, it is fair comment that no intelligent person would attempt to state "...that is exactly what happened."  That comment ridiculous.

Since none of us was present it is impossible for any of us to say exactly what happened.  At lease, no intelligent person would presume to know what happened.

”Hate to think that our President would do that.” I remember that Movie. It’s sad, but that is exactly what happened. The photo speaks for it self.

It's sad isn't it. If ever there was an event that should not be politicized, this would be it.  It upsets me that so many are using this tragedy to further their own agenda.  Shame on them and shame on Mr. Obama as well.

Yep...I couldn't agree more!  Disgusting!!

Well, back to the original topic of the thread, the photo op.  The movie "Broadcast News" comes to mind for me.  I realize I am dating myself with that reference but recreating what is genuine emotion at one time so that one can benefit from it is a part of the movie.  Hate to think that our President would do that.
