Maternity Clothes

by jhh42, Apr 14, 2008 08:50AM
I am pregnant with my 2nd child. I did not start wearing maternity clothes until about 18 weeks the first time. With this one, I am 11 weeks and definately feel the clothes getting tight. What is the earliest anyone has started wearing maternity clothes???

LOL I am a big girl so I started wearing them right away so I don't have to suck in the fat anymore..Now that was comedy..

Enought about me, now about you.

It is known that with subsequent pregnancies, your stomach muscles are weaker which makes way for maternity clothes sooner than before. Wpmen do have a tendency to round it out and show much sooner after the first pregnancy..

Hope this helps.,

I'm just fat and eating like a crazy obsessed person.  I'm 9 weeks today and have gone back up to my pre-diet jeans.  I'm really going to have to watch the weight gain, I've already gained like 7 pounds and that's all I gained with the first one the whole time.  Lord.....please let the fat move from my thighs, butt and stomach to the baby....LOL

Well....I plan to get the maternity clothes out of the attic today. I know I will be more comfortable. Thanks for the input.

I'm 8wks and I've been loosing weight b/c of the throwing up and stuff. (baby is fine though..I eat plenty and constantly) I'm going to try to not wear them as long as I can (just buy bigger sizes instead of maternity) We'll see how that goes. Most of my jeans are a little big anyway (I buy them a tiny bit big and they usually have a little stretch to them) So I think I'll be fine for the next couple months. Plus I'm only 8wks...
P.S. Did I mention I HATE being sick? no fun, no fun!

I'm also pregnant with my 2nd and didn't need maternity clothes until almost 6 months with my 1st but I'm already starting to get a little bit uncomfortable in some of my clothes  (I'm only 8 weeks!).  I just went out yesterday to get a couple pairs of shorts and capris that were a little bit hoping that I won't have to break out the maternity clothes for a little bit longer.

I am pregnant with 2nd child too and started wearing maternity clothes at about 10 weeks! It was like 5 months the first time. My Dr describes being pregnant the second time as being like a baloon, it blows up easier and faster the second time you blow it up!
