pinching or sharp pain

by sdbaby, May 02, 2008 02:01PM
i'm in 12th week. I've this pinching or sharp pain in abdomen & in vagina- but this is on and off.
I get this pain from place to place which lasts for a fewer time. Is this normal?
Has anyone have had this?

Im in my 12th week as well and the same thing has been happening to me. Not the Vagina but the abdomen, sides, pelvic area. Its like a pinching aching in a way. I did some research and as long as it doesnt involve any bleeding you should be fine. I believe this pinching pain, aching is due to your body adjusting and your uterus streching. If it does persist or pain gets worse though i would for sure contact your doctor.

You are correct. I also  called my advice nurse, she said as long as there's no bleeding, there's nothing to worry at all. Also, this kindda pain is quite common, because of ligament stretching.  As this being 12th week, I was really scared about the pain.

I have this too - when I move a certain way or sneeze/cough.  I agree with the others.  It is normal and is from muscles/ligaments moving to make more room for baby!
