B12 and D deficiency

B12 and D deficiency

This has been a long road to understand where I am today, but a little background... Years ago ( maybe 7 ) I saw a doc because my thighs felt very weak, it was hard to walk. He didn't think that was serious...so I just plugged along, working, and living. I developed prior to this panic disorder, and anxiety attacks...ok, treated well with Xanax in small doses which I never had to increase. It still works well at 0.5 mg/day in the AM. I am 52 yrs old, I smoke, I work full-time, and developed depression, and I was tired all the time. I can't say that my diet is the best, as I live alone and don't cook much for myself ( a can of soup, a sandwich ) when I come home from work. I'm tired all the time... About 9 months ago, I became confused in the middle of a workday. It was to the point that I wasn't able to locate a hospital that I am very familiar with...I was admitted, and they ruled out a stroke, and said it may have been a TIA ( mini stroke ) My bloodwork showed megaloblasts...large immature red blood cells. I am assuming now, that this was part of the Vit B12 defieciency. Any suggestions....?  Right now I am taking Vit B 12 inj weekly, and mega dose of D3 weekly. Any input would be welcomed. Thank you !
