When you get a viral infection like the flu or a cold, do the initial b6 toxicity symptoms come back to visit you?
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP
i was taking a vitamin b complex with 15mg b6 along with a protein shake with added b complex vitamins in it for several weeks to a month when i started getting dizzy spells with headaches and weakness.... then i stopped taking the b complex along with the whey protein for a few days then my symptoms subsided. in the following week i started taking another b complex supplement with 1.7mg of b6 3times daily for almost 2weeks when i started getting dizzy again with severe headaches, throat and neck tightness, tingling and burning sensations with weakness on my arms and legs etc.... but the most worst part is am in a country where they dont do b6 blood level tests.. i went to my doctor who only gave me antibiotics which only made things worst. however its almost a month now since i stopped taking supplements and its seems am recovering slowly but still with headaches, dizziness and body aches with little fatigue to cut it short am still not half the person i use to be but drinking plenty of water seems to help a little bit cause am always kinda thirsty but i dont av diabetics lol.. Can someone please help with anything that would speed up my recovery because i dont av 6mnths or 1,2 or 3yrs to waste bc am still a student.. and am 100% convinced that i av b6 toxicity so please just help with an recovery advice not diagnostics :)
Ok thank you for the info.
There are practitioners who know how to treat these things, there are not many of them. There is Dr Nancy Mullan, Burbank, CA she has a website and a facebook page. I don't know her. She has worked with Dr Amy Yasko and Dr Mullan understands methylation (MTHFR etc) and she will also know what types of tests to do and how to interpret them. You could always email her, contact her via her website and ask her questions and see if she would be suitable to help you or maybe direct you to where you could get appropriate help.
Well its been a year since I was told I have high b6. Originally it was 208 and it took almost eight months to come down to 50 after I stopped my multivitamins. The labs seem to have diffirent normal ranges. My local lab is 2-22 ng/ml and the Mayo Clinic is 2-50 ng/ml. So according to the Mayo Clinic I am at the high end of normal but according to my local lab I am still twice normal. Does anyone know if a level of 50 is still toxic? It has been at 50 for about 3 months now. I continue to have all types of neuropathy and other symptoms that show no improvement. I have exhausted the Mayo Clinic on testing me for every disease known to man and all the test came back normal.
Obviously I have a problem metabolizing b6. Does anyone know want can be taken or done to help rid your body of b6? Is there a supplement that would act as a binder to draw b6 out of your body? I read people talking on here about mthfr gene testing but no one addresses what could be done to treat such a disorder. Whats that point of getting the test if there is no solution? If anyone knows what treatment would be given to someone that has a condition that would cause them to not metabolize b6 properly please inform us. Thank you.
I am presuming you have various health problems. If you can find a good practitioner who understands hair test, amino acid test (AA), organic acids test (OATS), that might go a long way in finding out what is going on. Hair test will show minerals and if there are deficiencies and imbalances and if any heavy metals are coming out. The other 2 tests will give info which will show if you have various vitamin deficiences and if there are amino acid deficiencies or high levels.
If you want to know what AA and OATS test is about, if you go to metametrix website and find those tests and on the right hand side of the screen there will be a link to click on, interpretive guide and this will explain what the tests are and the info they give. In the hands of a knowledgeable practitioner who can interpret the results, gives good info for the practitioner to work with. to be able to get the body right one needs to first find out what/where the problems are.
