Can I just count calories to get enough?

Can I just count calories to get enough?

My stomach is burned and healing, no detectable signals of hunger or being full. Eating totally different foods, no past meals to compare to. I'm starting from scratch. Trying to start with the minimum required as food causes pain. I don't want to loose any muscle or weight.

Male
5' 8"
Thin boned
140 lbs, Look healthy.
Taking multi-vitamin, and 2,000 Vitamin D.

How many calories per day is the minimum?, and do I want to have a larger meal for dinner to carry me through the night? Thank you so much for helping me. :-)

I only drink water, if I drink juice instead does that off-set the calories I need in food? Could I have 4 glasses of juice 100 calories per drink and take 400 calories out of a meal and be the same thing?

Does 1,500 calories a day sound ok for a non-active person? Enough?

Given your unique problem, I'd see a holistic nutritionist who would know more about what's healthy for your particular situation.

I started loosing weight just after a few days so I guess I'm not eating enough.
