Can vitimin suppliments damage your health

I am a male, aged 35. I am 6' 2'' tall, and weigh about 13 stone (82.55 kgs?). I don;'t smoke, but probably drink more than I should ~ mainly while entertaining customers.

Although I like to cook, and eat fairly healthy food when I eat at home, my business often means I am stuck in situations and locations where the only food options are poor. I almost certainly don't eat enough oily fish, fresh vegetables or fruit.

With this in mind, I take the following vitamin supplements daily as a precaution;

one 1000mg Omega 3 Fish Oil
one multi vitamins & mineral tablet
one B-complex tablet
one tablet of  Clacium (400mg) & Magnesium (200mg)
one Vitamin C 1000mb with bioflavonoids

I know the ideal solution would be to ensure I eat properly, and there appears to be mixed opinions on how effective vitamin supplements are, but can I actually be doing any damage to myself by taking the supplements above long term?

I would recommend you do not increase the amounts you are presently taking now. Most supplements are not harmful if they are within the recommended doses. When the amounts go beyond the recommended dose then there can be issues with toxic built up in the body. For example, vitamin C may cause kidney stones if taken at mega doses. If your situation changes and you are able to eat properly, then you should cut down on the supplements. Thank you.
