Essential Nutritional Needs for Anyone Over 50!

First Is to train Hard! At your level of experience! When you train hard your body would want good food and not junk.
Over the age of 50 you need more protein, especially woman need lean complete protein. You should get at least a 1/2 gram of protein per pound of lean body weight per day. Also plenty of essential fats and vegetables.

The longest living people being studied don't train hard -- they don't train at all.  They just move normally in day to day activities instead of living sedentary lives.  Training hard is just something to do if that's what you like to do, and because it causes injuries that get harder to fix as one ages, it can also shorten life.  If it isn't fun, don't bother, but you do need to move.  The longest living people being studied do not eat a lot of protein -- mostly they eat less animal food than others and more vegetables and fruits.
