Feel sleepy after eat too...

I wanted to say that I'm worried about myself too. I feel sooo sleepy after I eat and it's pretty bad. It's so bad that people around me get worried and ask me if I'm ok. I think that I get much more tired than my family when we eat together. My eyes actually glaze over and get bloodshot looking and that doesn't happen to them and we eat the same amount. I think there is something wrong here. Meat is the worst any kind of meat makes me feel sick and sleepy and actually woozy is a good word to describe how I feel. Almost drunk... woozy, dizzy and strange and unlike myself. I know that it is worse in me b/c it doesn't happen to other people around me.  Any idea what's going on? I can't even live a normal life b/c I'm always sleepy and laying down "recovering" from what I ate until I feel normal again. This seems much more severe of a problem than other people's just getting drowsy after a big meal. Please help.

I also think it is a sugar problem, follow the food guide for nursing moms, try to eat lean protein and good carbs, avoid empty starches and sugar.

And if it doesn't go away get it checked out.

And if your baby is very young, perhaps it is post partum

You might have a blood sugar problem.  When you eat do you make sure you get good carb + a protien?

One more thing... it almost feels like it might be a liver problem. That's why I feel so woozy and nothing really helps... somethings building up in my blood and making me feel bad. My eyes look similair to liver failure patients'.

One more thing... I'm 22 and breastfeeding a baby and I feel noticeably much better if when I feel like this I breastfeed. It seems to me like there's too much of something in my blood... b/c it feels like when I breastfeed I'm letting whatever's too much of, out of my body and I feel much better and more focused and less confused/elated/drowsy and no headache and no glazed/bloodshot eyes. I feel like it helps almost like bloodletting something out. But I don't know what it is decreasing. Only a temporary solution though. Does anyone think it's possible that I have Phenylkenopturia or a metabolic disease that was somehow missed? I'm really worried I have some metabolic disease like that.

Oh, and I feel actually very very mentally confused also for awhile and I feel very confused. This is definately a problem. Sometimes it even feels like elated too. Like very very happy for awhile... then a headache.
