Foods with SMALL amounts of Vitamin K while taking coumadin

Is there a listing of available food groups, i.e, cereal, grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken, turkey, etc. while taking coumadin.  Also what beverages other than those which contain alcohol are safe.  Are granola bars another product which would have little effect while taking coumadin.  Are tuna fish sandwiches with potato chips also acceptable.  I have a wide range of questions regarding which foods can be taken safely while taking coumadin.

The question you should be asking your doctor is "Why am I taking Coumadin?" Coumadin is rat poison. I will admit there are a certain number of conditions that should be treated by Coumadin, but in my opinion is it is the most overprescribed dangerous drug on the market. Unfortunately, the so-called "standard of care" protocols forbid your physian from even suggesting an alternative. One of the reasons coumadin is a problem is that the enjoyment of life by eating wholesome foods can become nill because almost everything interferes with coumadin. The question you should be asking is "is Coumadin acceptable". Now opinions are like certain parts of the human body. The alternative medications to Coumadin have been well researched and are available on databases such as MEDLINE.
