How does starvation affect your speech?

last year I was 190 pounds and I starved myself to lose weight. Now it's a year later and I weigh 129 pounds. I'm 5'9 and am a nineteen year old male. I also starved myself when I was 12 because i was overweight and i wanted to find the easiest way to get skinny.

For a while now I feel like I have trouble putting thoughts into words and my sentences come off a little incoherent when I speak causing me to look stupid and making me not want to talk to people anymore out of embarrassment. I know what I want to say but I have a little bit of trouble putting it into words. I wasn't like this before i started losing weight.

Could starving yourself cause this to happen? if so, how? and is it permanent?

You did this the first time and it worked! But then you put weight back on.
So you did it a second time and the weight came off. What do you think is going to follow? This isn't the way to diet!

It could, but that doesn't mean it did.  You've gotta know that insufficient nutrients make us sick in many ways, we eat because our bodies and organs need a proper array of nutrients.  People who fast for long periods of time suffer all kinds of problems, including with cognition, and if they do it long enough it can be permanent.  But it can also be not a bit deal at all, depending on the inherent strength of the person.  Starving oneself is not a good way to diet, it is temporary, and the body does need to feed itself to function optimally.
