How to Increase Power of Weight Lifting

I am 23 years old male of 55 kg (Slim Body). I am joined gym. My question is what should I take (as diet) to increase my power of lifting weight because I am lacking in weight lifting compared to other who are of my age & body size..

Hi,, you need to look at two things Diet and a good training programme and both are as important as each other. Firstly have between 5 to 6 meals a day smaller portions than you may usually eat but eat what you can, you need to eat roughly every 3 hrs therefore your body always has something to feed on and is not relying on your fat reserves( this will help put on weight). Eat healthy high protien  and carb diet(meats, fish, eggs are some examples of good protien foods) you can aid this with the use of protien drinks, but get a good quality one also remember fruit and veg should be part of your daily diet. As for training i would suggest going to the gym 3 times a week say a monday, wednesday and a friday and concentrate on two body areas each time such as legs and biceps on a monday then shoulders and triceps on a wednesday and on friday chest and back. Your training programme should last about an hour at a time, train hard, but safe use good technique. i have used these principles for the last 12 months and have gained 7 kilos in weight and my strength has really improved
