Ingestion of PVC

I accidentally ingested some PVC while having lunch at a food court that was served hot on a PVC plate. Part of the top layer of the PVC plate came off under the heat of the griller and was stuck to the food that I ate, not knowing there was PVC in it until I saw that the top layer of the plate came off (so that light actually came through the bottom of the plate). I'm worried about whether this accident would have any impact on my health.

Are you sure it is PVC or styrofoam? PVC is used in plumbing and is not sually regarded as food safe. If it was styrofoam it would cause symptoms right away and these would usually be mild unless it was a massive dose and not be long lasting. But long term ingestion may be linked to cancer. So stay away from these type of plates and stick to paper or hard plastic like a cafteria tray.

i accidentally swalled a lemon seed while drinking ice tea.  I didnt think much of it. but have been nauseous since that day (3 days ago) throwing up and frequent bowel movements and diarrhea.  My bowels must be empty now.  I am drinking water and gingerale.  It just dawned on me that this might be the source of my problem.  Am I reaching for answers when there is no connectin? Has this happen to anyone else? Is this just a coincidence?  what can I do to end the nausea?
