Is eating pasta everyday a bad thing?

Concerning my 15-year-old son who adores pasta - he wants it every day, sometimes twice per day. He's an avid golfer who plays a minimum four times per week and is healthy and happy otherwise. He likes linguine with Ragu Chunky Garden style sauce with cooked ground beef and  mozzarella cheese on top which represents many of the major food groups. He doesn't like (or even crave) chocolate or candy but he does enjoy Pepsi which I allow him to have in moderation. He doesn't drink milk so I give him a multi vitamin.

He suffers from stomach aches early in the morning so he refused to eat breakfast. He eats a light lunch depending on what is being served at school, and by the time he's done with golf team practice later in the afternoon he is ravenous. My husband says that pasta is too rough on his stomach, but our son finds it easy to digest and filling. Should I continue to let him eat his fill of pasta?

Thanks!

Both his weight and height are between the 90-75th percentile for his age which is normal. He is in puberty and is in his last growth spurt until his early 20's. For his age he needs approximately 2500-3000 calories per day due to growing. Pasta is fine. Suggest giving him yogurt and cheese daily due to no milk consummation for calcium and strong bones. Also suggest he eats something light for breakfast, such as a muffin/roll with juice or yogurt with juice or just a milkshake (if he accepts it) so he eats food 3 times or more a day. Hoped that helped you.
