I believe once you have one hormonal imbalance, i.e. insulin, you can create a
cascade of effects.
Note that in Daniel Rudman's initial study of HGH, it all ended up showing that you
get diabetic symptoms from use of HGH, or at least it is a possible side effect.
That would mean it is messing with your insulin and blood sugar. To get the effect
it would have to raise blood sugar.
Keep in mind, that often when you eat anything, it raises or can raise HGH. Some
people have naturally higher HGH even into old age.
I've read recently that high glucose can lower Test. also. It's all intertwined in one way
or another.
