What is your honest opinion of Lap Band Surgery for someone like myself who needs to lose 60 pounds, versus using prescribed medication?

Lap band Surgery should only be for people who are severely obese. Recommend you get connected with a group to help loss weight such as Weight Watchers, etc that is a healthy way and is a life change.
