These are the type of cancers I would suspect when one has exosure to 2-butoxyethanol. I think I shared some info with you on another questions. Your mom is 78? and she had shortness of breath?
Is her immune system autoimmune?
Does she have this assortment of sympotms:

or these fatigue signs: www.valdezlink.com/pages/foryourdoctor.htm#for
Do not exposure her to any of this chemical in cleaning products or paint. It is very prevalent and has become increasingly so since the 1930s & WWII days. Do not let anyone who is exposed to this chemical be around her very long. (Someone with recent exposures)
Glyconutrients would help her, I believe, in addition to whatever else the doctor says to do. One woman used glyconutrients for her breast cancer & it went away. But she still did the chemo therapy to be sure (counter productive, if you ask me, but I have no medical backgroud) I just know about 2-butoxyethanol because I have had someone in my family harmed by it, and I've spent a lot of time looking into it.
Some info explained here regarding Roger J. Willimas, PhD research in nutrition http://www.valdezlink.com/pages/rogerjwilliams.htm
I hope that mom's doing ok. I am so sorry to hear what you are going through. My heart goes out to you and your mom with your struggles.
Vitamin C, B6, Tannins, Lysine, Q10, Omega 3, and Apricot Kernals (Generically referred to as Vitamin B17) are the main nutritional remedies one hears about consistently when it comes to cancer. I'm not a medical person, but those are the ones you hear about quite often w/ what you're going through.
As for the diet, those that go light on yeast, dairy, glucose, high protein, iron and copper are popular these days. Here is a link regarding a possible connection between the restriction of iron from the diet and that of several liver ailments, including what the author alledges may involve cancer (I hope I had this down right-if this is the wrong one, it'll be in those listed below)-

Most commercial forms of Citric Acid are produced from a mold strain of Asperigillus Niger, a mold belonging to a much larger class of those that produce mycotoxins, the 3rd most carcinogenic known to man, substances that tend to affect the liver and lungs at first, other organs later on.
If you have ever read from Doug Kaufmann, he contends that there is no such thing as cancer-only that of undiagnosed fungal infections. The body's most abundant amino acid is Glutamine, an amino acid that literally melts to cereal grain, so there always could be some merit to what he has to say. "The Germ that Causes Cancer" is his latest book, I believe.
Some of this text might be a bit difficult to read through, but the premise is really the same throughout. Just stay focused on Asperigillus and that it causes Asperigillosis, an invasive fungal infection that is very difficult to identify- even during biopsy, and that the real cause of harm are the Mycotoxins that they are known to release in the system.
Here's more on Asperigillus/Mycotoxins-

As for any type of available OTC formula, Tanalbit, Oregano, Olive Leaf Extract, Malic Acid, Omega 3, Beta Glucans and Grapeseed all have been alledged as decent cracks at OTC anti fungal/immune boosters therapy.
Cinnamon-farmers have been using cinnamon on their crops for a long time to control the growth of Asperigillus, along with Garlic. So who's to ever say, I suppose.
I admire you for holding onto your Faith during this trying time in your life. May His love be with all of you during this struggle.
