It sounds like you have symptoms of malnutrition, from your question. You did not state your weight or height to determine your nutritional status. Recommend you start eating food, slowly, 5-6 times a day, take a daily multi-vitamin, and have protein in each meal. Protein comes from animal and plant sources. From animal sources it comes from all meats, chicken, fish, beef, pork, etc.; and dairy products such as milk, yogurt, cheeses, pudding, and ice cream. From the plant world there are complete proteins such as soy products: tofu, soy milk, soy yogurt, soy pudding, and soy ice cream. Incomplete proteins you need to combine foods such as beans and rice, pasta with vegetables, peanut butter and bread, nuts in salad, and beans with pasta. Suggest you seek medical to check your body and find help on why you do not eat.
Tanya, I posted a question re: vitamin D deficiency that was never answered by the nutrition expert here but BrainYYC gave me a link to good info, which I have been reading at the "Vitamin D Council" website (use this term as a search). I also posted a thread on my Vit E deficiency but not holding my breath because mine is among 14 unanswered threads that have mounted.
The Vitamin D Council site and others that address Vit D and other vitamin deficiencies like B12 and E, all state that these can occur not usually from poor diet in the more advanced countries like USA & UK but from "malabsorption syndromes". Some people have digestive disorders or ones in which their bodies do not process fat properly and all these vitamins are transported through fat, into the cells of the body.
Could you have malnutrition? Yes, it's a possibility and simple blood testing can determine it better than any other method. I would ask your doctor to order a CBC (complete blood counts) to detect anemia and tests of the major vitamins; D, B12, E and Folate.
That's my non-pro layopinion but firmly believe it because I was found to be severely deficient in both Vit E and D and insufficient (not as severe) in Vit B12. I'm a male with a big frame and only moderately overweight. I eat lots of fruits, veggies, nuts and grains and yet I have these deficiencies. Some med sites are saying that Vit D deficiency is at near epidemic proportions - a fact they are just starting to discover on a wide scale, through research studies.
It's definitely worth getting these levels tested.
Why is your nutrition so poor? Do you not have money for food? If that is the case, you can get assistance from any local church. If you have an eating disorder, therapy is available from the local county hospital. The symptoms you describe are very serious and you should immediately seek medical hlep for them. I do not know what the fungus could be or your underlying medical conditions - suggest you immediately begin a multi-vitamin and see a doctor.
Pain in the middle-ear. Add that to the list of symptoms as well.
